The God Pools One of the interesting lingering effects of the Gods's closeness to Tera and involvement in its affairs is the God Pools. The God Pools are pools of water that are imbued with strong magical powers. It's unknown if the intelligent huamnoids near a God Pool feel drawn to it and compelled to build a fortified dwelling on top of it or if somehow the buildings spring up almost as naturally as the God Pools. What is known is that God Pools are generally found by adventurers in what we as players would think of as dungeon environments.
There are rumors that Godhood can be attained by bathing in all six ability score pools and the Pool of Time and then completing some additional quest. Two NPCs in my world who have completed the bathing in the God Pools portion of this task: Morn Bladecry (Tera's Grandfather of Assassins) and Therion, the Almost-Dragon.
I am leaving the exact numbers undefined, but here's a breakdown of the ones I have chosen to define.
Ability Score God Pools: These grant 3d4 permanent points in an ability score to a PC who bathes in one (As if by massive numbers of wishes), exceeding normal racial maximums (but with a maximum score of 25 possible when I play under 2e or 1e rules). There is at least one for each ability score.
Alignment God Pools: Bathing in one of these pools changes the alignment of the bather. The quest to find one of these pools may be used to atone. There are five: Law, Chaos, Good, Evil, and Balance. Balance changes alignment to True Neutral. Someone for whatever reason wishing to attain an alignement of as a for insance Neutral Good from Chaotic Evil must first use the Pool of Balance and then the Pool of Good to combine for an overall Neutral Good alignment.
The Pool of Time: This pool resets the bather's age to youngest mature adult age for his or her race (humans become sixteen years old). Subsequent aging whether natural or magical is at a one year for every ten rate (normal system shock roll applies to magical aging; aging even one year all at once is traumatic for the body).
One that I am considering but haven't yet firmly decided on is a Pool of Psychic activation. This would instantly give the bather a wild talent in 2e psionics rules.

Religion is kind of a mess right now.
I started with the assumption of one historical pantheon from the Deities & Demigods cyclopedia (1e) per significant race or culture, possibly with traditional D&D racial deities (Moradin, Garl Glittergold, etc.) folded in. I even started making notes relating to this, regarding what kind of specialty priests are likely for each god under 2e rules, domains for 3e rules and so on.
So far, what I can find right now is a list, some of it has useful information on it, like alignments, portfolios, and even domains for a few deities and others are just names.
For what I've got, the format is Name Alignment "Titles" (portfolio) [domains] When domains are posted, they are drawn from a variety of sources including: The Player's Handbook (3.0), Deities And Demigods (late printing with 3.5 updates in the back), The Divine And The Defeated (third party source), Book of Vile Darkness, Defenders of the Faith, and Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss.
Gods of the Human Empire: Zeus CG "King of the Gods" (the sky, lighning, rulership, prophecy) Aphrodite (love, sex, fertility) Apollo (sun, prophecy) Ares CE (war) Artemis (the hunt) Athena LG (war, wisdom, owls) Demeter (nature, agriulture, fertility) Dionysus CN (wine, revelry) [Chaos, Madness, Plant] Hades LN "King of the Dead" (the dead, the underworld) Hecate (magic) Hephaestus (smiths, fire) Hera Queen of the Gods (marriage, family, crafts) Hercules (strength) Hermes "Messenger of the Gods" (communication, messengers, thieves, gamblers, judges) Hetsia Nike (victory) Pan (nature) Poseidon (the sea, earthquakes) Tyche (luck) Erebus CE (darkness) [Chaos, Evil, Darkness, Darkness, Entropy, Shadow] Nyx CE (night)[Chaos, Evil, Darkness, Darkness, Entropy, Shadow] Thanatos NE (death) [Evil, Death, Repose] Morpheus CN (dreams, sleep) Psyche N (the mind) Cybele NG Earthmother (Earth, fertility) Eris CN (Discord) [chaos] Janus LN Guardian of Gateways (gateways, foresight, hindsight) Mithras LG Patron of Soldiers (soldiers, sun, bulls) Saturn NG (agriculture) Serapis NG (underworld, fertility, healing) Vesta LG Guardian of Women (home, domestic)
The Darkness, Darkness for Erebus and Nyx is not a mistake. There are two Darkness domain

Gods of The Halflings Discalimer/ Intro: This is drawn from two of the Deities & Demigods pantheons I've been using as my starting point. The Japanese and the Chinese. I intend no disrespect is towards any real world culture by doing this. I have a great respect for the Japanese Shinto religion and the Buddhist, Confucianist, and Taoist Ways of China. These days if asked my religion, the answer I am most likely to give is Animist with elements of a Taoist philosophy.
As I've said elsewhere, in Tera, Halflings are modeled on a mish-mash of Asian cultures, particularly Japanese. One effect that has is that, while there are Gods, there are also elements of Animism and Ancestor Worship to the religion as well. Animism is the belief that there is a God or Spirit in everything. In the real world there are strong Animist elements to Shinto, as well as to many Native American, Australian Aborigine, and Native African belief systems. In the game, what it means that I'll allow a Halfling character to be a cleric of Raiden, The Thunder God, or a cleric of the Kami of a particular forest, hill, or stream.
The List: Amaterasu Omikami LG (Sun) Ama-Tsu-Mara N (Blacksmiths) Daikoku LG (Wealth, Luck, Farmers, Weather) Ebisu LG (Luck through Hard Work) Hachiman CG (War) Kishijoten NG (Luck) Oh-Kuni-Nushi CG "The Great Land Master" (Heroes) Raiden N (Storms, Fletchers) Susanowo CN (Storm, Seas) Tsukiyomi NG (Moon) Shang-Ti LN (Heavens, Sky, Agriculture) Chao Kung Ming NG (War) Chih-Chiang-Fyu-Ya LE (Archery, Punishment) Chih Sung-Tzu N (Rain) Chung Kuel LG (Truth, Testing) Fei Lien NG "Count of the Wind" Feng Po NG "Count of the Wind" Huan-Ti CG (War) Kuan Yin LG (Mercy, Child-bearing) Lei Kung LE (Thunder) Lu Yuen CE (Epidmeics) No Cha NE (Thieves) Shan Hai Ching LN (wind, Sea) Tou Mu CE (Space) Wen Chung CN (Thunder) Yen-Wang-Yen N "Judge of the Dead" (Death, Judgment)

Okay after many hints, here it is:
Shadow Pantheon Satan NE "Overlord of Evil" "General of The Armies of Evil" "The Adversary" Demogorgon CE Juiblex CE (Slime) Orcus CE (Undead) Yeenoghu CE (Gnolls) Asmodeus CE Baalzebub "Lord of the Flies" LE (Decay, Disease, Vermin) Dispater LE Geryon LE "Wild Beast" (Ice, Strength, Beasts, Snakes) Lolth CE "Demon Queen of Spiders" (Spiders, Svartaelfs) Cryonax NE "Prince of Evil Cold Creatures" Imix NE "Prince of Evil Fire Creatures" Ogre'moch NE "Prince of Evil Earth Creatures" Olyhydra NE "Princess of Evil Water Creatures" Yan-C-Bin NE NE "Prince of Evil Aerial Creatures" Charon NE "Boatman of the Lower Planes" Anthraxus NE "Oinodaemon" Baphomet CE Fraz-Urb'luu CE Graz'zt CE Kostchtie CE Pazuzu CE "Prince of the Lower Aerial Kingdoms" Belial LE Mammon LE Mephistopheles LE Moloch LE Zuggtmoy CE "Demon Queen of Fungi" Ssendam CN "Lord of The Insane" Ygorl CN "Lord of Entropy" Chourst CN "Lord of Randomness" Renbuu CN "Lord of Colors" Lucifer CN "Star of The Morning" "The Rebel" (Rebellion, Freedom, Light) Abraxas LE "Hell's Wizard" (Magic, Protection, Disease, Protection From Disease) Azrael N (Justice, Vengeance, Punishment) Notes: Because The First War was as much about Chaos and Law as it was about Good and Evil, at least initially, the people of Tera view Slaad as rather demonic and Limbo as a Hell Plane and Modrons as kinda angelic and Nirvanna/ Mechanus as kinda Heavenly.
I might update this list to include traditional monster race Gods, like Kurtulmak and Gruumsh too.

The Great University The most imprtant thing to remember about The Great University is that it is not just a school in a world with few other schools. It's not just a repository of learning and the written word in a world that has known more than a few dark ages. It's not even just a small city that happens to be populated by students, teachers, administrators, and the necessary support staff to make it all work. It's the Capitol of a major world power and the means of selecting a country's leadership.
The campus itself is impressive, with architecture in a number of styles from the reliable ones of a thousand years ago to the flashy ones of recent years. Besides the neccessary classrooms, dorms, dining halls, laboratories, libraries, and administrative buildings that one expects, there are also impressive galleries where collections of art, both magical and mundane, are kept and a small arboretum.
The University Archchancelor is also the ruler of arcanum. The Archchancellorship is a lifetime appointment. The Archchancellor is elected by the senior faculty members. The current senior faculty is appointed by the previous Archchancellor.
The University is organized into Departments.
